Every week our worship at our main Eucharist service is led by a robed choir. We range in age from 7 to 80+. Many members of the parish church like to serve the community and share their faith through leading the worship of the church.
We are always looking for new recruits. If you enjoy singing, like church music and have some familiarity with musical notation, then why not consider joining us?
We rehearse every Friday evening from 5:45pm to 7.00pm in church. We all enjoy singing but we are a friendly bunch and enjoy the company we share together too. We sing at 10am Sunday services and some also come to 6.30 pm services. Of course, with busy lives, not everyone is free every week, but we try to come to the Friday practice before the following Sunday service.
Adults sing in four-part harmony where possible and we take time to learn our parts.
Every month we sing a full choral evensong. If you have other commitments as a busy singer, or indeed worship at another church (we are often joined by some Roman Catholic friends) then you might like to join us for one of these occasions.
