The Reading Room is available for hire

Seating 40, the Reading Room is ideal for post-christening celebrations, small weddings and wakes, and is also available for general hire, business events, children’s and family parties.

​There is a permanent audio/video installation with overhead video projector and audio amplification system with the capacity to play CDs, DVDs and VHS tapes. It also has VGA and stereo mini-jack connections for your own laptop (PC or Mac) to permit presentations.

This and use of catering and other facilities are available at extra charge.

​The Reading Room, across the road from the church, is a Grade 2 listed building. It includes a large hall, kitchen, toilet facilities, and a garden.  (While the Reading Room is accessible for the disabled, the toilet facilities are not.)

Following increases in gas and electricity costs of over 300% it has been necessary to increase the charging rates for the use of the Reading Room. These charges will come into effect for all events from Monday 30 January 2023.

Standard               £12.50/hr
Charity                  £6.50/hr
Commercial          £18/hr, or a daily rate of £150

​Please note: the use of crockery, cutlery, tables and chairs is included. More formal ware is available for hire.  Kitchen facilities are available and included in the hire charge, but use of ovens will incur an additional charge of £10.  Use of the audio/visual system will also incur an additional charge of £10.
